Valentina looked nothing but sensational in her most recent win against former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm. In the main event of UFC Chicago, Shevchenko put on a clynical display as she picked apart the former champ with crisp left hooks and devastating inside leg kicks.
Holm seemed to freeze up in the octagon after dropping Shevchenko early in round 1. But as the fight went on she did not see to be able to find the answer to the outstanding striking from the multiple time world kick boxing champion.
Speaking after the bout, Shevchenko declared that the stunning performance was down to a lifetime spent training in martial arts.
Speaking to Joe Rogan during her post fight interview, Valentina said “My strategy was – do everything that I know. Put all the heart and power that I learned in twenty years of training martial arts. And I did it today.”
Having lost a narrow victory in her last fight to now current champion Amanda Nunes. Valentina had this to say about another fight with Nunes “Amanda is a good fighter, she’s good standing, she’s good ground game. And of course, I want a rematch with Nunes for the title belt.”
